In short

Who is responsible

Alex Churkin (ChurkinApps), the individual developer of Fast Notes. The app does not send me any data, so I do not collect or process your personal data. Contact: churkinapps@gmail.com.

1. What the app keeps, and where

The titles and text of your notes, checklists, the photos you attach (the app keeps its own copies), the audio you record, the times of reminders and the settings (color scheme, sorting). All of it is kept in the app's private storage on your phone, where other apps cannot read it. It is deleted when you delete a note, choose Settings → Clear all data, or uninstall the app.

2. No internet

Fast Notes does not ask Android for access to the internet, so it cannot send or receive anything over the network. There is no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting code in the app.

3. Sharing and saving

When you press Share, Android shows its list of apps, and the app you choose receives the text of the note and its attachments; what happens next is up to that app. When you save a picture from a note, the file goes to the place you choose. Text and pictures that you send to Fast Notes from other apps are saved as a note on your phone, like any other note.

4. Links

The Settings and About screens have links to this site, to the app's page and my other apps in Google Play and, in the Russian version, a one-time invitation to the ChurkinApps group on VK. The links open outside the app, in your browser or in Google Play, which work under their own policies.

Permissions

The app has no camera permission: a photo is taken by your camera app, which hands the picture over. Photos from the gallery are chosen in the system picker, so the app sees only the ones you pick.

Backups

Android's cloud backup is switched off for Fast Notes: your notes are not copied to your Google account. They exist only on your phone.

Google Play

Google Play installs and updates the app, and shows me overall figures such as the number of installs and ratings. That is done by Google under its own policy.

Children

Fast Notes is not aimed at children, and it collects no data from anyone, children included.

How long data is kept

On the phone: until you delete it or the app. I keep nothing, because nothing reaches me.

Your rights

You control everything the app keeps: you can see, change and delete it in the app itself. I hold no data about you. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority of your country.
